You should stay away from high sugar fruits (great fruits to include are blueberries or strawberries) and a great smoothie to consider is the Dr. Oz Green Shake it has a lot of great veggies that are low in sugar. It is best to mix somes veggies along with fruits this will give you a great balance of nutrients while reducing you sugar intake.

I am a diabetic and the smoothies look good, so are they good for a diabetic person?

A whey protein smoothie is a great meal to add to your diet because it is high in protein and will help increase you metabolism so you can burn more calories. But it is probably best to plan a diet that includes one smoothie daily along with two low fat meals. For example have a smoothie for breakfast or lunch and then plan low calorie meals for the other two meals. You can also add in some healthy snacks that will keep you going. I just wrote down your whey protein smoothie recipes on the diet blog...is it safe to drink those all day for weight loss or do you replace meal with a low fat meal?? I need to lose about 40 pounds..i also do a 45 minute workout on a treadmill and drink about 80 oz of water to stay hydrated...please contact me soon as I am going grocery shopping tomorrow...Thank You :)
