This pasta recipe is a perfect meal choice for the detox diet!\u00a0The whole wheat pasta enriched with fiber, and turkey sausage makes this dish a perfect choice for dieters or anyone who just loves a tasty healthy meal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2\u00a0ounce(s)\u00a0whole-wheat short pasta, such as shells or twists<\/li>\n<li>8\u00a0ounce(s)\u00a0hot Italian turkey sausage links, removed from casings<\/li>\n<li>3\u00a0clove(s)\u00a0garlic, chopped<\/li>\n<li>8\u00a0cup(s)\u00a0arugula, or\u00a0<a>baby <\/a>spinach<\/li>\n<li>2\u00a0cup(s)\u00a0halved cherry tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>1\/2\u00a0cup(s)\u00a0finely shredded Pecorino Romano, or Parmesan cheese, plus more to taste<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0teaspoon(s)\u00a0freshly ground pepper<\/li>\n<li>1\/4\u00a0teaspoon(s)\u00a0<a>salt<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon(s)\u00a0extra-virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DIRECTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bring a large pot of water to a boil.\u00a0<a>Cook<\/a> pasta until just tender, 9 to 11 minutes, or according to package directions.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, cook sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon, until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic, arugula (or spinach) and tomatoes. Cook, stirring often, until the greens wilt and the tomatoes begin to break down, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and keep warm.<\/li>\n<li>Combine 1\/2 cup cheese, pepper and salt in a large bowl. Measure out 1\/2 cup of the<a>cooking<\/a> liquid; drain the pasta. Whisk the cooking liquid and oil into the cheese mixture; add the pasta and toss to combine.
